I have numerous, very severe spine problems - including nerve and spinal cord compression at many levels and have had two major spine surgeries so far. I have never had ANY withdrawal symptoms - just more pain, stiffness, and muscle spasms that Soma helps control when I take it.
Also abruptly stopped Soma this January cuz my latest doc prescribed a different - and useless - drug.
But many times I went without Soma for days to weeks due to refill delays, referrals to docs who don't prescribe it, etc. From 2009 to 2013 - 4 years - I used Soma almost continuously, 3 to 4 times per day. I have taken Soma 350 mg on and off from 2006 to 2014. Just wanted to add that I have NEVER had issues with tolerance, addiction, or withdrawal symptoms mentioned by others. Rated for Spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis Report If you want to be stupid take 40 all at once, you might not die. They have created a stigma for the drug, I'm sick of hearing "Soma Coma". Every time I read reviews on Soma there is always someone admitting to taking 5 to 50 at a time and others admit they always run out early. I know it metabolizes into Meprobromate, it would be highly addictive taken in large quantities. You should be ashamed of yourself and get some help. If you are taking more than prescribed you are ruining it for people that have found Soma to be one of the best drugs there is for relief from severe pain. A nurse I knew died after taking 100 Soma. I think the real problem is that too many people can't take meds as prescribed, some die from ABUSE. Everybody that has never taken it says it's highly addictive. I was prescribed 4x a day and at the beginning the most I ever took was 3x a day. Rated for Degenerative disc disease Report
